Top Tips for Perfect Wedding Day

Bridal Beauty Tips
Want to look perfect on your wedding day? Here are several easy tips for wedding day beauty, including product recommendations and helpful hints.

Use waterproof eye makeup. Most brides cry at their weddings. Even if you don't think you're the crying type, with so many waterproof and water-resistant products on the market, why take a chance?

Use a long-lasting lipstick. When they first came out, most were dry and not suitable for a day filled with close-ups and endless congratulatory kisses, but the new generation of cosmetics has wised us up with separate color and moisturizer choices. Apply the color once at the beginning of the day, and reapply then moisturizer a couple of times through the day to keep lips luscious and picture-perfect. My favorites are the Cover Girl Outlast All-day Lip colors, which are easy to find, or, if you are interested in getting truly unique cosmetics for yourself and your wedding party on this special day, you may want to check out an extraordinary line offered by professional Wedding Makeup Artist Rhonda Sauer from Aspen, Colorado at rhonda4jicosmetics@mac.com .

Practice doing your wedding makeup several times as it can be tricky to apply the color evenly and perfectly...or you may want to choose to have your make-up, hair, and manicure professionally done?

On the wedding, Employ a "spot checker". This could be your Maid of Honor or another person whose makeup style is similar to your own (your mother is another good candidate.) Ask her to keep an eye on you and let you know if you need a touch-up. She might also do you the favor of stashing your lipstick in her purse for easy access.

Veils - If you're wearing a veil make sure the groom can help with holding it down during the ceremony, as we have tropical trade winds daily.

Hair, Makeup, Deodorant, Perfume - I recommend that you wear your hair up with a lot of hair spray. The side curls on the side of a bride's face look great in the beauty salon, but can create problems with the photography.

Unless you like the natural look - then you'll just to be aware of wind and your hair moving around. Flowers are always a wonderful addition and really spark up the color photographs and pictures. Another special note one makeup, sometimes the groom or others in the wedding party might need a little foundation to smooth out the redness in their faces, and this is often the case with sunburn. I would try not to get to much sun before your wedding. Best time here to be in the sun is from 7:00 am till 11:00 am and then from 2:30 pm to sunset. Also, something to consider about deodorant; when the bride is wearing a sleeveless dress and the groom a black or dark tux sometimes deodorants that are made of a white paste will get on the groom tux and show white or show up on the bride's underarms -- so choose carefully. Using a wonderful perfume for that special day is always in fashion.

Stash backups of cosmetics and important items: "Stake out" the bathrooms or changing facility at the venue and stash an emergency kit, including powder to beat down shiny noses, clear nail polish to repair stocking runs, a hairbrush, hairspray, lipstick, and a sewing kit, along with anything else you think you or your bridesmaids might need.

It is especially important to do test runs, so make sure you test out beauty products several times as you wouldn't want to find out the morning of your wedding that you're allergic to them!

And remember to Relax! A relaxed bride is beautiful!

Making a list will help -- then by checking off the items, such as the rings, license, which people and what you want photographed and whatever else is important on your wedding day you won't be worrying about it. Also, have others assist you in getting tasks attended to and then you don’t have so many things to remember or check off on your list.

Ask Questions when you don’t know -- be the bride, not the specialist! Use the expertise of those who can make your day smooth and sensational. Consider a wedding specialist with lots of experience in a wide range of styles, such as Precious Maui Weddings (see the website at http://www.preciousmauiweddings.com. While some people follow certain kinds of etiquette, always remember it is your day and though people will suggest things -- my advice is to do what feels good for you and your wedding day, so make sure your choices fit and express the essence of you as a couple and that other understand that your are the center of all the activity. Also, after the ceremony (and especially if there is a big reception) take a few minutes together and just be with each other this day is for the two of you and others can wait. Plus you’ll be more ready for the experience if you stop and have some moments of intimacy before dealing with your guests. Everyone has a fantasy of a 'perfect wedding day'.

Remember you are the star of the day; so let others help you shine...
