Photography of Nature

It is like stepping into Creation itself: a world that totally holds me in awe of everything in nature while directly connecting me to an experience of how it was created. It is an emotional and spiritual journey that always gives me such deep joy and satisfaction. Oftentimes in my work, I have the opportunity to look around and just see the beauty that is on the planet as though it is new.

Over the years of indulging my love for the ocean, I have been doing an array of underwater photography: from Underwater Weddings to Whales. The splendor of the liquid ocean in all its many aspects is a place that I feel totally comfortable -- it is second nature to me. I awaken and journey to the sea, swimming out to seek partnership with dolphins playing gleefully in the morning light and being totally astounded at their great presence and how they come to cheerfully greet everyone -- excluding no one for race, color, size, age, beliefs, or attitudes! They fill the water with excitement and joy for life; just to hear them surface is incredible! Adults and babies spinning in the morning light twist for all they are worth while waves of sound echo below their high pitched squeaks and chatter. Sometimes you can’t even see them but you can hear them from long distances. It's a dazzling dolphin day when you arrive and see a pod of fins breaking the surface on the horizon and then, after swimming with them, you have the sensation someone has cleaned the window to your world and made it brighter this day!
